I went back for this doll after unsuccessfully trying to talk myself out of buying her, and I was able to bargain the guy down. His wife gave me a card with information on the maker that she got from the Internet. She thinks the doll was made by Florence Melewotkuk, 1905 - 1971, who lived on St Lawrence Island. I love her smiling face.
